I spent a night in Tempodrom to listen to Harari, interviewed byย Constantin Schreiberย andย Anne-Dore Krohn, andย Axel Milberg, who excellently read certain parts of Harariโs new book โNexusโ.
Having read the book, I looked mainly for input going beyond. Here are my main take aways - Harariโs recommendations:
Information was once scarce but it became over abundant now. Too much information isnโt good, same as too much food isnโt good. We need time to digest and take information fasts.
โข Any public intellectualist needs to be Harari does not believe in nowadays claim for โauthenticityโ. Any thought plants a seed.ย He recommends to build a wall between your mouth and mind. Anyone with responsibility should never answer with the first thing coming into their minds (keep this for your coaching session). However, in order to relax, grant yourself a "license for stupidity" at home.
Take your time, slow down to truly understand the problem. Our superpower is collaboration โ you do not need to walk alone, strive to collaborate to find answers.
It focuses on the potential implications of AI (which he translates as "alien intelligence" rather than artificial intelligence). Even if you do not agree to any detail, it gave at least me a lot of food for thoughts.
