Fascinated by blockchain analytics? So was I, attending the ECB event by Infinity today. I listened to insightful talks by Zalan Noszek (Crystal Blockchain Analytics) and Georg Brameshuber (Validvent).
Zalan delved into transaction monitoring: heuristics, privacy tech, KYT (Know Your Transaction), and even showcased practical examples, exchange operation schemes and latest obfuscation techniques.
Georg tackled the evolving regulatory landscape: how blockchain analytics fits in and the concept of real-time compliance.
These insights are crucial not just for anti-fraud/money laundering, but for anyone on blockchains: your transactions may not be as anonymous as you think! For my Hochschule für Technik und Wirtschaft Berlin students, Crystal Blockchain's demos were always eye-openers (I will reach out to you again, Hedi Navazan!).
I also discussed "Decoding MiCA: Navigating Europe's Crypto-Asset Future" with Mariana de la Roche (Validvent) on this inhouse ECB event, followed by Ioannis Revolidis who explored stablecoin regulation under MiCA.
The session was moderated by Tonia Damvakeraki from the EU Blockchain Observatory and Forum and organised by Nikolaos K. (Netcompany).
